Taking Some Needed Down Time

4th December 2015

After the last few months, life really has gone full speed and now we’ve crash landed in December…. How has this happened?

I’ve realised that I haven’t really stopped since the 26th October, looking for schools, organising classes, trying to learn and understand things that I’ve never had to deal with before Isla. Not only that, but work has been manic too – It’s all positive and picking up of course, but I’ve not really had a chance to catch my breath since sprinting through this year.

Since Adam and I went to Thailand back in June, the latter part of this year really has flown by, and that’s why I decided I just needed some down time. Even just for a few hours.

My friend Megan and I decided to spend the evening in our pyjamas, eating pizzas, drinking hot chocolate, watching The Holiday and I finally learnt what it was to have a proper evening skincare routine, all courtesy of Megan! And of course… having a catch up and a little gossip!

We started out with The Body Shop’s camomile cleansing butter, went on to Pixi’s Glow Tonic, and then used an Origins face mask. I woke up this morning with the softest face – which has completely convinced me that I will need to purchase all these products ASAP.

Being able to sit down, and have a little chat and chill was exactly what I needed. Guys, I’m not going to lie – I’m so tired. Mentally and physically and it’s beginning to catch up with me, but ultimately I know that you always have to get through the shit bit to get to the good bit.

That’s life.

I feel like I’m at the age where I’ve just got accept that now. And I’m just trying to stop myself from getting impatient because I know what life has in store for me is very exciting. (:
