Workwear 101: The Striped Shirt

18th February 2017

Oh man, what is worst than ironing your trousers, sitting down for a little while and then having them crease up all over again!? SO. ANNOYING.

The dress code at work is fairly relaxed. We don’t need to dress up super smart if we don’t want to, but I love wearing heels and smart trousers and blouses because I feel a lot more confident in them, and that’s something I’ve often struggled with (let’s not get too deep here, so more on this subject in another post in the near future).

So this week I opted for my favourite striped shirt that I’ve been throwing on, inside of work and outside (but of course, with jeans). I love the length of the sleeves, and the low cut front, which I tend to pair with a slinky little lace bra if I’m wearing it for dinner and drinks. It’s just got the perfect amount of slouch and is a solid 50/50 when it comes to being casj/work appropriate.

Of course, to finish off the look, I wore my classic black heels from ASOS and the good ol’ Longchamp bag.
