What went on this month #14

2nd July 2017

Howdy everyone!

My God, it feels like absolutely ages since I just sat down and blogged. I’ve missed it so much, and now because I haven’t got a working laptop (I’m using Adam’s right now), it’s been made even harder which is a nightmare.

With that being said, it’s probably time for an update right? I’ve got lots of ideas on what I’d like to do on my blog, and for the moment, I’ll be doing a lot more home related posts – if you don’t mind, of course! There will still be the weekly outfit post too, because that is my favourite thing to do, it’s just finding the time!

SO, here we go:

ISLA IS 5:
So my little cherub turned the grand age of 5! WeΒ had a little birthday party (thank you to my mum, Adam and my best friends for being so incredibly helpful in organising it with me), with lots of Isla’s friends! I literally can’t believe how fast these five years have gone though? It’s passed me in a flash, and although it’s been amazing and stressful all at once, I’m truly sad that she’s growing up so quickly!

WE MOVED:
So you may have noticed, from my hundreds of updates, that yesterday marked one whole month since we moved in to our first home. It’s been tiring and it’s been stressful, but I feel like we’re at a point now where it’s really starting to feel like home. I’ve taken a couple of photos of the front room, because that was the one area we really wanted to get sorted first, since it was where we’d be spending the majority of our time. We have a lot to do still, such as re-doing the entire kitchen, and putting personal touches up on the walls, but I’m super happy with the way it’s going and I can’t wait to share more!

NEW JOB:
There is a whole lot of change going on in my life right now, and one massive one is that I got a new job! It was such an incredibly difficult decision for me to make, leaving my role at Zazzle – it was my first proper job out of Uni and I grew up A LOT whilst I was there. I felt like I needed a change though, y’know when you get the itch? And I started my new role as Online Marketing Manager at Ultralase (part of the Optimax family) last Monday! Initially it didn’t feel real? But I’ve settled in well, and I’m excited to really get stuck in! It’s going to be interesting and it will be so different to working in an agency, but I’m all for throwing myself in the deep end – you never know how you’ll handle these situations without doing that, right? I am missing my friends at Zazzle so much already, but at least they know they can’t get rid of me that easily, haha!

EVERYTHING IS BREAKING:
We haven’t had the best luck with technology since we’ve moved, I must admit. Isla dropped my iPad and the screen smashed, Adam accidentally sat on his phone in the car and the screen cracked and then his Playstation died (and has since come back but it’s like it’s on life support y’know?). His car also needed fixing, and a pipe in the downstairs toilet needed replacing, so all in all, we basically need a money tree because WHY IS EVERYTHING SO EXPENSIVE? It’s slowed down now, though, thank goodness but there was a period where we felt a bit low about it all!

SKIN:
I have loads to update you on with my skin, but it’s going well! It’s all very clear and I’m eating quite well so I’m happy with how it’s going. Expect a post on it either at the end of next week or the week after!

I have loads of blog posts to read and catch up on, so no update on who I’m loving at the moment but instead, a shout out to two of my favourite bloggers, Hannah and Sophie for winning Blogosphere Magazine awards last week – if you don’t read their blogs, GO NOW, you will be sat there all day.

Have a lovely Sunday!
