I feel foggy today - I have so many thoughts whirr

I feel foggy today - I have so many thoughts whirring in my head about lockdown, being a mum, work, even Instagram. They're overlapping and crashing into each other and over me so much that I don't get a minute to come up for air.

Unexplainable anxious thoughts drizzle over me daily, and I can't figure out why I feel the way that I feel??

I love what I'm posting on here at the moment - I have absolutely no idea where I fall, but I like what I share and I'm constantly fighting myself over whether it's what others want to see vs what I enjoy, but luckily I seem to be winning that battle, even if it's not what people care about.

Right now I can't find a minute to finish any task - not even the small things, and I keep shooting myself reminders that I need to soak all of this time up but I also need a few seconds to breathe because all of this, everything, is SO full on.

It's all so confusing? I don't know, maybe I need to write a list, perhaps the fog will clear a bit then - but here's a carousel of completely unrelated photos I've taken that I like. ✨

Taking inspiration from @theleoparduk's list of lockdown joys, here's what I'm looking forward to in Spring: iced coffees, hanging the washing out on the line, blue skies, bright flowers, golden hour light through our bedroom window, the first BBQ of the year, lighter evenings and pink skies, no coats, a teeny tiny tan, sandals, Easter chocolate. 🌚

So we've started our weaning journey! 🥦🥕🥔

So we've started our weaning journey! 🥦🥕🥔 Despite having another child, this is a completely new territory for me because Isla flat out refused everything I gave to her when she was this age. In fact, this last year has given us a great opportunity to expand her diet and it's gone so, so well and we're so proud of her. ✨

For Casey, we're doing a combination of BLW and spood fed, and to be honest I'm trying to be as laid back about the whole thing as possible - I'm not expecting much from him for this first year, it's all fun right?! I am adamant that he gives loads of different foods a go though and I don't want our dislike for certain vegetables or meals to stifle him, y'know?

Like I said in my stories, we're going to go with the guide from the @ellaskitchenuk 'The Purple One' book for the first two weeks and then we're going to use all the fab recommendations from you guys as well - it's scary, but I'm also so excited!

gratitude list:

•i am healthy and safe.
•today i managed to finish a task I've struggled to complete all week.
•the weekend food shop arrives in the morning including a bunch of Oatly Barista - tea is just not the same without it.

I had a horrible day today - I wanted to stay in bed with my head under the covers for the entirety. But I couldn't.
🤷🏻‍♀️

I rode the wave anyway; stayed in bed while Casey napped, watched The Office, ate a lot of chocolate, forced myself to go for a walk, thinking that some fresh air would help but I couldn't shift the tears or the heavy weight sat on my chest.
It wasn't until I stuck some music on and found a set of bubbles for the kids that we stood in the kitchen for a little bit before dinner, just, blowing bubbles and popping them.

Just a small, simple thing but it helped clear the cloud a little bit. I don't know if it'll help next time but I keep trying to remind myself that it does pass - we're allowed days like this. ✨

I feel foggy today - I have so many thoughts whirr

I feel foggy today - I have so many thoughts whirring in my head about lockdown, being a mum, work, even Instagram. They're overlapping and crashing into each other and over me so much that I don't get a minute to come up for air.
