A little #whatiworetoday because I love this @newlook dress and I’ve had a little influx of new followers, thanks to @thepositivebirthcompany, so I thought I’d pop on to say hello and introduce myself!
HI! My name’s Tami - I’m a mum of 2 to Isla who is 9 and is autistic, and Casey who is 10 months old! I am originally from South Africa, but I’ve lived in the UK since I was 9. I got made redundant from my marketing job in October, which was the push I needed to apply for become a primary school teacher and I start my course in September!
I bloody love a mojito 🍹, summer is my FAVOURITE season and am a huge fan of a TV series and I’m currently on Chicago Med (I really need to get on Fire and PD)! Welcome - I hope you stick around and let me know your favourite tv shows to add to my watch list! ✨

10 months of our little whirlwind! 💕 This month

10 months of our little whirlwind! 💕
This month he finally entered Club Crawl and my god, he’s getting into everything! Still loves food, more than ever actually, but has started making it known when he’s not keen on something (mainly egg, except boiled, and Greek yogurt, as of this morning). Loves his books, Hey Bear and hitting his sister’s iPad! ALSO LOOK AT THOSE TEEF! 🥰
We’re a bit late on the sleep regression, but it’s definitely reared its ugly head and he’s slowly getting more comfortable with being with other people!
He is non stop right now, but generally such a happy baby. I can’t believe I’ve got two months left of Mat Leave and he’s nearly a year old! Should probably get him some bigger socks… 😂

I can’t quite believe we’ve nearly hit double digits! Happy birthday to our smart, funny and cheeky girl - it’s such a privilege to watch you grow, this past year in particular. We love you so, so, so much, Biggest. 💝✨

Casey has not stopped moving today 😂! I shared

Casey has not stopped moving today 😂! I shared a post on my stories a couple of days ago about caring for your baby and how everything else around being a mum is tough, and I have to say the mental load of thinking about things is probably one of the toughest for me? Today’s a prime example - Casey does not sit still anymore and my brain is CONSTANTLY switched on for things he could hit his head on, fall off of, leap onto... you get the idea!

I do it for Isla too - my parents moved yesterday and the first thing I said to my brother was that the small step in the garden was a cracked head waiting to happen. Being on high alert is so exhausting, I just wish I could switch off a bit, but then I worry I’m just overprotective?!

I feel like that in particular isn’t really talked about - the things you’re always thinking about regarding your children is so tiring, never mind all the other plates you’ve got to keep spinning. Anyone else feel like that about their kids/baby?! What a bloody balancing act. 🥲
