New week which means new starts and I'm hoping it's better than the last!

We can see a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel with this little cherub and Leap 4 - although he's having moment of grumblings (over the last week he's enjoyed screaming at bedtime), generally he seems a lot happier, thank god! 🤍

I cannot wait til we remove this door frame and get it all replastered, including the entrance behind me. I don't know whether the previous owners threw wet paper at the wall but it sure looks like it!

Last night I found myself down a photo hole. I forgot just how many fun things we used to be able to do - this weekend we went away for Adam's birthday to @elmleynature. I've wanted to go back ever since but it's always booked up, and understandably so tbh!

It was one of my favourite trips away and I went on a few in 2018. We watched a series on the laptop, drank tea, went on walks and just watched the landscape from the window, snuggled up in bed, because it was quite a cold November.

Simple pleasures but it was just what we needed. I live in hope we'll be allowed to do things like this again this year!

4 months of you, Littlest. No longer a newborn and we're equally so sad and so happy about that - you're growing so fast!!

This month has consisted of: leap 4 grumbles, trying to roll over, wanting to sit up SO badly, lots of turn taking, blowing raspberries and the most infectious little laugh I've ever heard. 🤎

No school for Isla for the foreseeable. That's fine, we can cope with that. We've been through it once, we can do it again.

Right now though, I'm feeling really, REALLY gutted - I had all these grand plans in my head of everything we were going to do once Casey arrived and it's becoming more and more likely that our year together is not going look like that.

It will get easier. We'll find things to make it memorable but I'll allow myself to wallow for a bit because it's still heartbreaking.

It was a year ago today that I snuck out of the office to take a pregnancy test and whispered "what the HELL" to myself in the mirror. I remember sitting there for a while, staring at the floor, thinking about how lucky I felt for getting the chance to be a mum again.

I had to sit at my desk the entire day with this new information, before I ran out the door at 5.30 to surprise Adam with a handful of tests! We both stood in the kitchen entrance, hugging each other, both teary and unbelievably excited for the journey that lay ahead of us.

Fast forward 9 months and we had little Casey Asher, who has just been the perfect addition to our family. I can't wait to see what the next 9 months has in store for us all and how much he'll change in that time. ✨🧡
