Trainee teaching year officially complete ✅
I was looking back at my post from last August, where I shared how nervous I was, how I couldn’t possibly picture how I’d manage all of it and how apprehensive I was about leaving the kids, particularly after COVID. How insane how much has changed in the space of a year - I have had the best experience. I know it’s not like that for many trainees, and for veteran teachers tbf, so I feel so lucky to have started on such a positive note, and I can only hope it gets better from here on out. I feel much more confident in my abilities and cannot wait for what September brings. 🤍
Classroom setup and Autumn 1 planning awaits me, but for now I’m going to soak up every moment with my babies for the next 6 weeks. Happy Summer! ✨✨✨

HEY IT’S MISS BRIESIES 🍎✨

Countless SCITT assignments, reflective worksheets and a crazy amount of lesson plans for evidence, two PGCE assignments, a maths retake and a LOT of actual teaching of lessons - meant that yesterday I found out that I was awarded QTS!

I am officially a qualified primary school teacher!

I can’t tell you how proud I am of myself. I worked so, so hard for this and to finish on such a high, as well as with a JOB at a wonderful school… I honestly couldn’t be more thrilled.

I know that I’m also so lucky to have had the most amazing support within school, and outside of it, and I genuinely couldn’t have done it without my circle of fab colleagues, friends and amazing family. 🤍 I have to say my MH hasn’t been the best this year because imposter syndrome is just wild but I’m really trying to keep reminding myself that I’ve been given these opportunities for a reason. ✨

Just goes to show that a redundancy doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the road, but a ramp up to something that makes you 1000% happier.
